Original Watercolors by Paolo Canal

Paolo Canal's birthplace is near the ancient Etruscan city of Tarquinia. Paolo has been fascinated since childhood with the ancient tombs that surround his home town. He paints the lively frescoes that decorate Tarquinia with a feeling of continuation with his ancient forebearers. His motivation is the emotional and spiritual experience he has when observing the art. Each painting bears a verbal as well as visual impression of the ancient fresco in a diary-like entry at the bottom of the work.

Please note that these are not reproductions, but original watercolors.

The sheet size dimensions on the Tomb of the Triclinium watercolors are 7 x 9-7/8 in.
